Subjects
Geography - I/GCSE + A-Level
Geography is a fascinating and broad subject, incorporating a wide range of themes and concepts. This makes it incredibly rewarding, but also difficult at times. My teaching breaks geography into four main sections – geographical knowledge, case study knowledge, exam technique and geographical skills.
Each lesson will be personalised to individual need but will also tackle all these aspects, ensuring students are well-rounded and prepared for all possibilities in their exam. I can offer support with all major exam boards and recommend useful revision guides and textbooks in addition to personalised resources.
Sociology I/GCSE + A-Level
Sociology is an extremely literacy-heavy course, including unique terminology and requiring a strong essay writing ability. Through my experience teaching sociology I’ve found it hinges on three main elements, sociological theories/concepts, sociological examples and exam essay writing techniques.
Each lesson will be personalised depending on individual need but will be based on learning and practising these three elements. My expertise lends itself to topics such as Education, Stratification and Global Development, however I can offer support with all main topics across all exam boards, recommending useful revision guides and textbooks, in addition to providing personalised resources.
